Join the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent in supporting DeTar Healthcare System's
Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive
to fight hunger in the Crossroads
March 1 - 25, 2025
The Food Bank of the Golden Crescent is thrilled to announce DeTar Healthcare System's Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive. This marks the third year of this impactful campaign, and its reach is expanding to include local businesses and community centers across the Crossroads area. FBGC is the support system for over 100 agencies in our 11-county service area of Calhoun, Colorado, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, Matagorda, Refugio, Wharton and Victoria.
Why Peanut Butter?
Peanut butter is a staple in many households—nutritious, easy to store, and packed with protein. For families facing food insecurity, it’s an affordable way to provide a healthy and filling meal. Your donation of just one jar of peanut butter will help feed those in need, especially in our local communities.

“We recognize the impact hunger has on an individual’s health and wellbeing, and we want to help those in our community who are struggling with food insecurity,” says Bernard Leger, CEO, DeTar Healthcare System (seen here wearing his famous Mr. Peanut suit). “A large number of people in Victoria are facing food insecurity. Our Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive is a great way to partner with community members to reduce hunger in our area.”
